I am a PhD candidate at Seoul National University (SNU) SCALE Lab, supervised by Prof. Jung Ho Ahn, and I will be graduating in summer of 2025. Previously, I was a visiting researcher at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) FAST Lab from March 2023 to March 2024, supervised by Prof. Nam Sung Kim. Before pursuing my PhD, I received a BSE degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) from SNU in 2019.
My research focuses on memory systems, specifically DRAM security, reliability, and performance. My current work focuses on building cost- and energy-efficient memory systems and DRAM microarchitecture for LLM inference. I have also contributed to accelerating Large-Language Model (LLM) inference using heterogeneous system with GPU and Processing-in-Memory (PIM), accelerating Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE), improving polynomial approximations for Privacy-Preserving Machine Learning (PPML) based on FHE and Multi-Parity Computation (MPC), and improving application startup-time of mobile system with an optimized page reclamation policies.
I hold dual nationalities for the USA and South Korea, and I have completed my mandatory military service for South Korea.
